Maryland Baltimore Mission

Well just a little about this mission. I served in the Maryland Baltimore Mission and I loved it! The best two years of my life. I served as a Spanish speaking elder, and it was probably the biggest blessing and weirdest experience in my life. Life on the east was amazing and being able to take in soo much history along with making history in the eyes of our Father in heaven. Bringing people closer to our Father and also teaching the things that have been lost for so many years was the greatest thing that I have ever and probably never be able to experience like that again. it was great to see how much my family grew while i was gone and the ways that my father grew while i was gone as well. Weekly letters of hope and encouragement were a lifeline that never seemed to loose touch. Hearing stories from my oldest brother and his wonderful wife helped me emensly. Although it was a time that i was away from my family for a long period of time, they were only as far as a peice of paper or a cassette tape from me. I was envolved in the greatest gathering known to man, I was joined with others who had the same cause, they are my life long brothers and friends. One thing i remember is My sister in law wrote me a letter expressing what the true cause of a mission was. She explained that there would be people that would listen to what you had to say at the drop of a pin and others that wouldnt. but the main thing that she said was no matter how much i worked, how much i felt homesick, or alone, I would always be an example to her kids for what i did and to me that was important.
