Maryland Baltimore Mission

Well just a little about this mission. I served in the Maryland Baltimore Mission and I loved it! The best two years of my life. I served as a Spanish speaking elder, and it was probably the biggest blessing and weirdest experience in my life. Life on the east was amazing and being able to take in soo much history along with making history in the eyes of our Father in heaven. Bringing people closer to our Father and also teaching the things that have been lost for so many years was the greatest thing that I have ever and probably never be able to experience like that again. it was great to see how much my family grew while i was gone and the ways that my father grew while i was gone as well. Weekly letters of hope and encouragement were a lifeline that never seemed to loose touch. Hearing stories from my oldest brother and his wonderful wife helped me emensly. Although it was a time that i was away from my family for a long period of time, they were only as far as a peice of paper or a cassette tape from me. I was envolved in the greatest gathering known to man, I was joined with others who had the same cause, they are my life long brothers and friends. One thing i remember is My sister in law wrote me a letter expressing what the true cause of a mission was. She explained that there would be people that would listen to what you had to say at the drop of a pin and others that wouldnt. but the main thing that she said was no matter how much i worked, how much i felt homesick, or alone, I would always be an example to her kids for what i did and to me that was important.

A drive to Work!

Well this day was a fun one, i was on my way to work to set up an orientation for some new hires at Mrs. Fields. It was rush hour traffic and on Bangeter Highway, one of the worst roads to drive on. I had come to a stop and the person behind me wasnt paying attention to what was going on infront, only because there was already an accident on the right hand side of the road. After hitting me there was a truck infront of mine, of who i went under. within moments there was another car accident on the other side of the road from people paying attention to us. What a morning

Finally Starting a BLOG

Well after much debate with myself in deciding to do this or not, I finally bit the bullet and set my blog up. My fav sister in law keeps raving about how cool blogging is so i guess i will finally see how i like it :) thanks Maile. Well about me, I served a mission in the Maryland Baltimore area speaking Spanish. A lot of people are surprised that there are actually a large group of latin population out there. That was a great two years spent learning and working hard. I love the Spanish or i should say Hispanic culture and food. I still keep up on my language and try to learn the new trends in speaking and other terms. My latest has been learning medical terminology. I am living in a town home with a pretty quiet roommate, that is about a mile away from my parents house.
